Karen L. Brown, a native of Long Island, NY, is a self-taught designer and seamstress inspired by her grandmother and great aunt.
In August 2022, she began collaborating with independent fashion designers, including Elizabeth Carson Racker and Keyshonna Miller-McNeil, on alterations and special projects for events like New York Fashion Week, USF Gospel Choir, Tampa Bay Fashion Week, and the Dominique Rodgers Cromartie Foundation. Karen’s first mini-collection debuted in July 2023 with the
Dominique Rodgers Cromartie Foundation, and she recently debuted her first full, 18-piece collection in Jumpoff Africa, and her work was featured again at the Toni Heart Purple Spring
Hair and Fashion Show in Spring 2026.
